SWZFC
members exhibit at the National Exhibition Stafford and bring the South Western
Zebra Finch Club firmly to the front.
Despite the
SWZFC area show being cancelled by the venue’s managing committee due to the
interpretation of the current Bird Flu outbreak regulations, several of its
member’s went on and exhibited at the National Exhibition of cage birds held at
Stafford County Show Ground on the 2nd October 2022 and the club’s Chairman
Paul Paintain appointed as one of the judges for this important day
The club
should pat itself on the back when we recall the winning and awards that those
members achieved.
Best Exhibit in Show, Best
Zebra Finch in Show,
Best Champion & Champion Breeder was awarded to Andrew Cole
with his fantastic pair of Normal which also went on to take the Best of
Colour overall for Normal and carried on to win Best Champion and overall
colour for CFW. He completed his fantastic day with the Best Single Bird
award too. And to win the overall Best Exhibit at the National what an achievement.
For Best of
Colour awards which saw Best Pied and Best Whites in the Champion section go on
to take best of those colours overall.
Other
members achieved awards in the line-up with 5th Best Novice Adult
and 7th Best Novice Breeder. In the
Novice Best of Colour, we attained Best Normal, Best Pied, Best CFW and Best
White from just 2 members.
All in All our club members certainly held their own against some stiff opposition.
Congratulations
to all those members.
